A ceremonial distribution of grant-in-aid to the scheduled tribes (ST), scheduled caste (SC) and other backward class (OBC) beneficiaries for the year 2018-2019 under 30 No Kokrajhar East LAC was held on Thursday at Assam Industry in Kokrajhar.
Organized by the project director of Integrated Tribal Development Project (ITDP), Kokrajhar under the state government WPT & BC department, Assam social welfare and soil conservation minister Pramila Rani Brahma attended the function as chief guest and handed over the grant-in-aid to the beneficiaries.
GCI tin sheet, sewing machine, threads, bio-organic soil enracher, vegetable seeds and fertilizers, exercise book, Tablet PC, etc were distributed to over 1000 beneficiaries under 30 Kokrajhar East LAC.
Kokrajhar DRDA project director Bhaskar Jyoti Manta, ex-BTC member Derhasat Basumatary were among those present on the occasion.
