He has already served in various capacities in different commands, both in Jammu and Kashmir and the Northeast.
Lt Gen Pande, prior to joining Gajraj Corps, which is also known as IV Corps, served in Pune as the Chief of Staff in Headquarters of the Southern Command.
The General Officer has also served in the UN Mission in Ethiopia and Eritrea as the Chief Engineer.

For his illustrative service, he has been awarded Ati Vishisht Sewa Medal and the Vishisht Seva Medal.

Lt Gen Sangha had an eventful tenure of over a year at Tezpur, the headquarters of Gajraj Corps.
During Lt Gen Sangha tenure the the formation carried out its assigned duties in an exemplary manner both in the Kameng Sector as well as in the counter-insurgency operations in Lower and Central Assam.
In the Unified Command HQ Mechanism, Lt Gen Sangha chaired the operational group, which was responsible for executing the counter insurgency/counter terrorism operations in Assam.
