Media fraternity in Kokrajhar of Assam on Thursday remembered journalist Jagjit Saikia on his 10th death anniversary at Kokrajhar Press Club.

Organized by Kokrajhar Press Club, journalists in Kokrajhar paid floral tributes to late Saikia followed by a one minute silence condolence.

Jagjit Saikia, a reporter of Assamese daily Amar Asom, was shot dead by an unidentified assailant in the heart of Kokrajhar town on this day in 2008.

President of Kokajhar Press Club, Preetam Brahma Choudhury, secretary Harishankar Takur and other members of Kokajhar Press Club were present and offered floral tributes.
