In a bid to create awareness on harmful effects of tobacco and significance of good habits, among the school students, 1135 No Chutalikha L P School of Uttar Dimrupar at Kapaspari in Lanka under Hojai district of Assam organized an awareness meeting at their school premises on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, head master Jitendra Chauhan urged students not to fall prey to bad habits but develop good eating habits.

He asserted, “A country can progress only when it is disease-free.”
“Tobacco causes more damage to health and the need of the hour is to make collective efforts to stop tobacco consumption,” he added.
Talking to Northeast Now, he said the objective of the meeting was to inculcate among the students, since childhood the good habits, so that they can be good human being and contribute in the betterment of the society.

“We usually organize these types of meetings, activities based games, to inbuilt good habits simultaneously with studies among the students for their bright future,” he added.
Around 30 students actively participated in the awareness meeting and learnt the significance of good habits and tobacco free nation.
