The authorities of Gauhati University (GU) have decided to introduce full-fledged online payment system from now on the varsity will accept all fees through online mode only.
University administration, in a notification issued on Monday, asked all concerned officials not to collect registration fees, enrolment fees and examination fees at the time of admission from students.
Students admitted to degree colleges will have to pay registration fees and enrolment fees at the time of online registration in the first semester.
“For the students availing fee waiver, the colleges will pay the university after receiving reimbursement from the government and submit the list of those students to the university,” said the GU notification.
Students of second and third years will have to pay their enrolment fees online along with examination fees of third and fifth semester examinations respectively.
For those second and third year students availing the benefits of the fee waiver scheme, the colleges have been asked to pay the university after receiving reimbursement from the government, it further said.
