Talking to Northeast Now, KMSS general secretary Dharjya Konwar said, “We would be compelled to launch protest if police won’t arrest him (Dibyajyoti Hazarika) soon.”

“The act of so-called Rudra Sena Asom’s president Dibyajyoti Hazarika is a part of the fascist rule of the BJP-led Government,” said Konwar.

Konwar further said, “The continuous protest by the KMSS against the Centre’s move to implement the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016 has become a major obstacle to the Government and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) to fulfil their motifs to grant Indian citizenship to illegal migrants.”

Demanding arrest of Hazarika, the KMSS general secretary said, “We urge the Assam Government to provide security to Akhil Gogoi.”

Hazarika, through the video which was uploaded on his Facebook account, threatened Akhil Gogoi terming him as a ‘traitor’ and claimed himself to be a ‘patriot’.
