The bus was plying on NH 15 and the incident took place near the Turung Reserve Forest between Chongkham and Wakro police stations. “All of a sudden, out of nowhere, the youths overtook our bus and stopped their scooty just in front of our bus, putting it up as a barricade, and started pelting stones injuring the driver and the handyman,” shared one passenger.
The passenger further shared that somehow the injured driver managed to drive the bus to safety and reached Chongkham Police Station near the reserve forest. Inspector Dumgandu Singpho of the said police station helped in administering first aid to the injured driver and handyman and also helped lodge an FIR at the Wakro Police Station.
