The employees of the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) at the Secretariat premises in Kokrajhar on Saturday carried out a cleaning drive as part of the Swacch Bharat Abhiyan.
BTC Principal Secretary Biren Chandra Phukan, Joint Secretary Dinesh Boro and other employees participated in the cleanliness drive.

BTC Principal Secretary Phukan said, “The cleanliness drive is a part of Swacch Bharat Abhiyan Mission.”
Phukan added, “The Bodoland Territorial Council has decided to carry out cleanliness drive on 7th of every month.”
He also called upon the employees and the public to keep the BTC Secretariat complex and compound clean. He said, “If we can keep the Council complex clean, it will be good for all of us.”

Dinesh Boro, secretary of Health Department, BTC, said, “The BTC Secretariat employees carried out cleaning drives in both the BTC Assembly and Secretariat office complexes and later, all the employees also cleaned the offices and toilets too respectively.”
Boro also added, “This is a good habit for all of us to keep clean our office complex like we keep our own houses clean.”
