In order to make the daily market in the Brahmaputra Valley Fertiliser Corporation Ltd (BVFCL) complex clean, the BVFCL authority has started a cleanliness drive in the market area.
It may be mentioned that four months back, a devastating fire gutted 32 shops in the daily market of the Brahmaputra Valley Fertilizer Corporation Ltd after which the shops were shifted; however, the fish market side in the area was used by many as a dumping ground. The locals demanded that the daily market area be cleaned to create a clean environment in the area.
