Badruddin Ajmal, Assam’s Dhubri MP and All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) chief claimed that Modi ministry in New Delhi and Sonowal ministry in Assam are totally anti-Muslim.
Ajmal said this during an interactive session with media persons in Hojai on Thursday.

He asserted, “This government will try to bring and pass as many bills they can in Parliament against Muslim community.”
Ajmal said,”Our community does not promote talaq, triple talaq is far big thing to promote.”

“If anyone by mistake gives triple talaq there are provision in our Quran, Ahadis to solve the matter and we have our Muslim Personal Law board to tackle this,”Ajmal added.
There are many problems of Muslim women like livelihood, employment, education etc; but this government has only focused on triple talaq bill to torture and shame Muslim community.

Ajmal questioned,”Around 26 per cent Muslim women have been given divorce in comparison to 68 per cent Hindu women in India. Why Modi government is not concerned about Hindu women problems?” he added.
“After Modi government was formed they are repeatedly trying to destroy peace, tranquillity established between Hindu and Muslim community,”Ajmal asserted.
“There should be equal laws for all communities,” he added.

In connection to National Register of Citizens (NRC), Ajmal said, “we have full faith in Supreme Court and for sure we will get a fair and true NRC.”
Ajmal further reiterated his words that the central government has played with emotions of people of Assam.
He said Modi government sanctioned Rs 500 crore for the two flood affected districts in Gujarat but only half amount to Assam where 32 districts have been reeling in fury of flood.
“Unlike elections campaigns, Prime Minister and other minister of central government has no time to visit Assam at this time of crisis,” the MP said.
He further said, “More then 20 times in Parliament I have raised my voice to declare Assam flood as National Disaster and will continue to raise this topic continuously untill it is not declared.”
On the otherhand, talking to this correspondent over phone on Thursday, Arjun Mazumdar, Hojai district BJP president said, “Under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP Government taking all sections of society together is continuously working for uplift of the country.”
“AIUDF supremo Badruddin Ajmal is not able to digest Modi’s politics of ‘Sabka Saath Sabka Vikash‘ and in fear of losing his position in upcoming 2021 Legislative Assembly elections in the State, for politicial benefits he is repeatedly reiterating that BJP is anti-Muslim,” Mazumdar added.
