AIUDF chief Badruddin Ajmal’s cash registers are jingling – he has become the richest candidate in Assam vis a vis the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Reports stated that Ajmal declared assets worth Rs 76.02 crore in his nomination papers, almost double from Rs 42.25 crore he had declared in 2014. Not only Ajmal, his wife too is laughing all the way to the bank – her assets have also increased during the last five years.
An affidavit filed by Ajmal reveals that his wife’s property has also increased from Rs 79.32 lakh to Rs 2.76 crore. The annual income of the AIUDF chief Ajmal is Rs 4.29 crore, while the amazing part is that his wife’s annual income is Rs 7,850 only.
There are six criminal cases registered against Ajmal in Dispur, Baghbar, Nagaon, Dhubri, Pulibor and Kokrajhar police stations in the state.
