“We have launched a joint operation with army to trace the whereabouts of the contractor but till now, we have not been able to find his location because of the thick jungles. Our operation is going on,” said a police official of Bordoumsa Police Station.
Sources said after having information about the insurgents group being active in the Bordumsa area, the police have not taken any step to reduce such threat.
“Earlier, Tana was in media following allegation of executing sub-standard works levelled by a section of locals in Bordumsa area. He was demanded Rs 1 crore as ransom by suspected NSCN(IM) cadres of which a partial payment was made while the outstanding amount had been due for pretty long time,” said sources.
