Arunachal Pradesh chief minister Pema Khandu on Wednesday launched the ‘Trans Arunachal Drive 2021’ in Namsai district.
The exciting ‘Trans Arunachal Drive 2021’ has been sponsored by the Arunachal government as part of its ‘Dekho Apan Desh’ campaign to promote tourism and develop tourist circuits in the state.
The drive began from the Golden Pagoda in Namsai and participants will travel through 10 exotic tourist destinations of the state to wind up the 12-day long tour in Tawang on April 19.
This is an eventful drive as it will cover the diverse cultural landscapes of Arunachal Pradesh.

The state tourism department launched the ‘Dekho Apna Desh’ campaign in March this year to revive the state’s ailing tourism sector that has been hit hard by the Covid-19 pandemic.
As part of the campaign, 60 participants divided in three groups embarked on a 10-day journey to different tourist places in western, eastern and central Arunachal to learn about the local culture, food habits and tourism prospects.
The tourism department will incorporate the suggestions of the participants regarding various issues in its different tourism promotion activities.
