Arunachal Pradesh governor asks youths to innovatively address illiteracy, economic inequality

Arunachal Pradesh Governor Brig (Retd) BD Mishra has called upon the youths to imbibe the spirit of entrepreneurship and innovation to address the problems being faced by the state and its people.

“Work with the aim to build an inclusive society in which every person feels integrated into the nation’s development. Use the best technology to provide facilities to ease the lives of people and bring transparency in governance,” the governor said.

The governor emphasized that the youths must become agents of change and address challenges such as illiteracy, economic inequalities and social discrimination in society.

“They must perform their duties and have concern for the less fortunate and the less privileged,” Mishra said.

While interacting with a delegation of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) at the Raj Bhawan in Itanagar on Tuesday, Mishra asked the youth wing to promote start-ups and ‘Make in India’ programmes amongst the youth of Arunachal Pradesh while working and promoting ‘Aatma Nirbhar Bharat’ Abhiyan at the same.

Mishra also asked the BJYM members to ensure the benefits of the state and central governments’ various programmes reach the person in the last rung of the society and also to the remotest village of the state.

The governor also stressed the need for more youths to opt for a career in the defence forces of India to serve the nation.
