The ITBP meet also discussed the modalities of upgrading the infrastructure in the border.

The maiden Frontier Level Commander’s Conference-2019 held at the ITBP North East Frontier Headquarters (NE-FTR HQ) here on Friday discussed and reviewed in detail the ways and means to strengthen the deployment of security forces along the Indo-China border.

The conference which was chaired by Sanjeev Raina, the inspector general of NE-FTR HQ also discussed the modalities of upgrading the infrastructure in the border so as to keep the security forces equipped with innovative and modern equipment to safeguard the Indian Territory.

Addressing the conference, Raina exhorted the field commanders to give their best efforts to achieve better results in execution of their duties.

He appreciated the field commanders for their contribution in managing the functioning of their units within meager resources, “despite huge load of burden put on their shoulders”.

State director general of police S.B.K Singh, who also participated in the conference on Thursday, shared his valuable experiences with the field commanders of ITBP in the field of policing and administration.

He lauded the duties performed by the ITBP in the border areas as well as during the recently concluded elections in State.

“I am very influenced with the performance of the ITBP jawans and its officials,” he said.

Several other subjects of operational nature were also discussed in the conference which among others was also attended by the deputy inspector general and commandants of ITBP’s field formations and the officers of NE-FTR HQ.
