Union sports minister Kiren Rijiju delighted over the news that the 2023 FIH Hockey Men’s World Cup will be held in India.

International Hockey Federation (FIH)’s executive board on Friday announced that India will be hosting Men’s Hockey World Cup in 2023 from January 13-29.
The 2022 FIH Hockey Women’s World Cup will be co-hosted by Spain and the Netherlands from July 1-17.
Venues for the tournaments will be announced by the host nations later on.
