Arunachal Pradesh government officials informed that a total of 52 samples were collected on Wednesday for COVID-19 testing.

This is the highest numbers of samples collected for the test in the past week.

Officials added that 24 samples were collected from the capital region, followed by 11 from Lohit, seven from Lower Siang, 5 from East Siang and two each in Namsai and Shi Yomi.

“However, no tests have been carried out in East Kameng and Kamle districts so far,” the officials added.

Officials further informed that 65 test results are awaited while 662 tests, including repeat tests, have been carried out so far.

“A total of 336 tests have been carried out in the Capital region and this is the highest in the state so far,” a health department official said.

“This is followed by 85 in Namsai, 69 in East Siang and 63 in Lohit,” he added.
