Various financial banks of Pasighat and Itanagar in Arunachal Pradesh is joining the nation-wide ‘Customer Outreach Initiative (COI)’, which the Public Sector Banks announced on Tuesday to bring festive cheer to the customers, informed State Bank of India (SBI) sources.

Different banks at Pasighat and Itanagar are organizing two-day Customer Outreach Programme in SBI premise on October 3 and 4 next.

The initiative taken by Department of Financial Services, Government of India aims to cater banks customers by extending array of loan products including home loans, auto loans, agriculture loans, MSME loan, education loan and personal loan etc.

Sources said that the banks will educate their customers with financial inclusion schemes and digital payments to encourage them to practice digital transactions initiated by central government.

The customers can open savings bank accounts and BSBD accounts during the two-day programme, while they will be taught how to download BHIM app along with various schemes for agricultural loans.

The COI is yet another proactive step taken by the financial banks to connect their customers and create platform for them to avail host of loans as per their requirements during the festive season.

“The programme will benefit customers on a large scale with assistance to achieve their goals”, said regional manager of SBI, Dibrugarh regional Office, Abhay Prakash.
