The first and only COVID-19 patient of Arunachal Pradesh has been discharged from the hospital.

The patient tested negative for the fourth time on Friday.

State chief minister Pema Khandu took to Twitter to announce this.

He also said the lone positive person has now been labelled virus free.

He has been discharged and sent to institutional quarantine for next 14 days.

The state reported its first confirmed coronavirus case on April 2, after a 31-year-old who attended the Tablighi Jamaat congregation at Nizamuddin Markaz was tested positive for the virus.
