The second phase of ‘Sarkar Aapke Dwar’ programme at Angkaling village along Indo-Bhutan border under Kalaktang administrative circle in the West Kameng district on Wednesday drew hundreds of people, old and young alike, to avail the services offered by the district administration and various departments and agencies at their doorsteps.
People from over 20 villages under Kalaktang administrative circle thronged the venue to get their queries and issues resolved.
As AADHAR seeding or linking is compulsory for availing the various benefits, the faulty AADHAR cards and its need for correction seemed to be a daunting task with only a handful of AADHAR operators to attend to it. It was felt that the number of AADHAR operators need to be increased to address the problem.
Earlier, West Kameng Deputy Commissioner Sonal Swaroop urging the border area people to avail maximum benefit from the programme said that ‘Sarkar Aapke Dwar’ was a unique effort of the State Government to reach out to the people through the district administration and the various State and Central departments in the district by providing the required services at their doorstep and disseminating information on the various welfare schemes, policies and programmes of the Government.
Jansuvidha facilitated issuance of 202 birth certificates, 154 permanent residential certificates, 85 scheduled tribe certificates, 18 inner line permits and 13 income certificates whereas the medical camp benefitted 148 including 82 gynae patients of which 20 availed the on-the-spot ultrasound facility.
DC Sonal distributed cylinders and stoves to the 9 beneficiaries identified under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana.
SBI Kalaktang succeeded in opening 32 new bank accounts and 25 insurance schemes whereas on the other hand ICDS enrolled 24 persons for old age pension, 5 for disability pension, 2 for widow pension and 3 for Pradhan Mantri Matritva Vandana Yojana.
The election office demonstrated the functioning of the EVMs and the VVPATs thus doing away the apprehension that votes cast in EVMs can be manipulated.
Various other departments like PHE and water sanitation, forest, power, animal husbandry and veterinary, tourism, disaster management, horticulture, agriculture, AADHAR card counter, etc. catered to the need and queries of the people.
Among others, ADC Kalaktang, ADC Rupa, HODs, CO Kalaktang and Gaon Burhas put in their best foot forward to make the programme really meaningful and beneficial for the people.
