Arunachal Pradesh: Teachers urged to put best foot forward at in-service training programme

The training for the in-service teachers of Government schools of Capital Complex organised in collaboration with Avanti Fellows and Alternative Learning System (ALS IAS), Itanagar began on Monday at the ALS IAS centre in Itanagar.

Education Secretary Madhu Rani Teotia, gracing the occasion as the chief guest, stressed upon the importance of such training and urged the teachers to attend the training with sincerity and dedication. She urged them to take the best from the training and to put them to the best of their capability for satisfactory result.

Teotia also stressed upon timely completion of syllabus and urged the teachers to put extra effort to ensure every student is provided with quality education. Urging them to regularly monitor the students’ performance, Teotia underscored the need to develop a new strategy wherein the students brief about their last day’s learning to the whole class and that way, limitation of a student can be found out.

“The students should be teachers for a day,” she added, stressing on parent-teacher meeting. She further said that a teacher must be equipped with the best quality that could be imbibed by the students, as students tend to follow their teachers.

She also lauded the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Capital Complex Prince Dhawan under whose initiative the training of teachers has been organised. Dhawan urged all the teachers undergoing training to utilise and make the most of the opportunity.

The DC stressed that new revolutions in the education sector is required to improve the overall educational scenario and therefore various measures have been adopted by the district administration including the in-service training of teachers.

He urged the teachers to give their best during the training and hoped such trainings would help bring out the best in them who are already highly qualified. Dhawan also stressed on maximum output using minimum resources and cited the said training programme which would be held through Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT) as the best example of using minimum resources to deliver quality education.

As the second periodic test is scheduled this month, the DC urged them to work with new zeal and motivation to better the educational scenario. He thanked Teotia for her constant support and guidance in this endeavour. He also thanked the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) for their support and cooperation.

Moto Nyori, Joint Director of SCERT, urged the teachers to put their best foot forward as they shape the future of a student. He termed teaching as the noblest job and asked them to do justice to their role. He also lauded the Secretary Education and the DC for working to improve the education scenario. Currently, 48 Maths and Science teachers are undergoing training at the ALS.
