A Bailey suspension bridge – Sangham bridge over Siyom River, connecting Pangin and Boleng towns in Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh has collapsed.
The bridge collapsed on Tuesday morning. Three persons are reported to be missing following the collapse of the bridge.

Following the collapse of the bridge, all types of movement between Panging and Boleng towns have been affected.
The three persons went missing after the ten-wheeler truck on which they were on board, fell into the river after the collapse of the bridge.

The missing persons have been identified as Mitinga Boro, Rahul Tamang and Ranjit Sutradhar.
As per latest information, a team of NDRF is on its way to the accident site from Dhemaji in Assam to begin a search and rescue operation for the missing persons.
Meanwhile, work for constructing a foot suspension bridge over the river will reportedly begin soon.
