The police department in Arunachal Pradesh is now free of COVID19 infection, said chief minister Pema Khandu on Tuesday.
Chief minister Khandu has congratulated the Arunachal Police as all the infected police personnel have successfully recovered from the deadly disease.

“Congratulations to @ArunachalPolice for the success story,” chief minister Khandu said in a tweet on Tuesday while sharing a chart of the numbers of police personnel, engaged in different wings of the Arunachal Pradesh Police, confirming the recovery.
He hoped Arunachal Pradesh would become a COVID-free state soon.
“In coming days we hope Arunachal Pradesh will be 100% #COVIDFree,” he said.

Arunachal Pradesh has so far registered a total of 16,536 COVID19 positive cases including 238 active cases.
The deadly disease has so far claimed the lives of 55 patients in Arunachal Pradesh.
So far a total of 16,243 people have recovered from the disease.
According to the chart, shared by chief minister Khandi, a total of 883 personnel including officers of Arunachal Pradesh Police were infected by Covid19.
While 6 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers were infected by Covid19, 9 Arunachal Pradesh Police Service (APPS) officers were infected by the virus.
The other Arunachal Pradesh Police personnel, who were infected by Covid19, included APP – 283, 1st APPBn – 10, 2nd APPBn – 18, 1st IRBn – 30, 2nd IRBn – 56, 3rd IRBN – 21, 4th IRBn – 31, 5th IRBn – 55, Telecom – 28, Fire & ES – 45, Jail – 1, Ministerial Staff of PHQ – 4, R/Ct. – 249, R/HC(T) – 7 and L/RCt. – 30.
