Following the participation in the opening prayer song ‘Kumdung Donyi Nom’, the Chief Minister performed the tying of sacred thread.

Khandu while addressing the gathering stressed on preservation of indigenous culture and identity that makes Arunachal a unique and attractive place in this world.

He said developed nations especially the western world is on brink of losing their culture due to their pursuit for materialistic happiness. For solace and peace, they are now looking towards eastern civilizations that have still preserved their ancient ways of life.

For preservation of indigenous culture, the CM said the state government will always be forthcoming in such efforts and assured funds for building of a multi-storied cultural building in the premises of Gangging.
