Guwahati: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu announced on Wednesday that Phase-I of a district-wise review exercise has begun with a four-hour meeting aimed at assessing the ground situation and the functioning of newly created districts across the state.

The districts covered in this phase include Kamle, Lower Siang, Pakke Kessang, Lepa Rada, Shi Yomi, Keyi Panyor and Bichom, which were reviewed in detail during the first round of the exercise.

The review examined manpower shortages, department-wise vacancies, administrative infrastructure, and issues that may require policy-level intervention from the state government.

It also assessed the overall preparedness of the districts to improve governance and strengthen public service delivery mechanisms.

Detailed discussions were held during the meeting with elected legislators, Deputy Commissioners and heads of various departments, focusing on operational challenges and administrative requirements at the district level.

According to officials, the district-wise review exercise will continue up to Phase-IV and will gradually cover all districts of Arunachal Pradesh.

The aim is to strengthen administration and make governance more efficient, responsive, and focused on people at the grassroots level.
