Arunachal Pradesh Governor BD Mishra on Sunday interacted with the young children of class two onwards who are undergoing weekly Badminton Coaching and practice session at Raj Bhavan Badminton Club.
About eight weeks earlier, the Governor while on his morning walk met these young children who were exercising with their Coach along a busy road side.
The Governor finding them exposed to the risk of vehicular traffic was concerned about their safety and accordingly invited the children to Raj Bhavan Helipad area, a protected place, where the children could run and do their strengthening exercises without being exposed to any physical harm and inconvenience.
Consequently, every Sunday, the Governor, when in station, meets them and encourages them to practice well and become good badminton players.
On Sunday, the Governor hosted the 45 children to refreshment of their choice after their exercise. The Governor also draped each child with a traditional Khada as a mark of appreciation for their sports pursuits.
