Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly Speaker Pasang Dorjee Sona, who reached Auckland in New Zealand on Monday, called on Kanwaljit Singh Bakshi, one of the parliamentarians of the country.
Bakshi is an Indian-born New Zealand politician and a member of the National Party.
He was elected to the 49th New Zealand Parliament in 2008 by way of the party list.
Sona is on post-Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference tour of New Zealand and Australia.
Bakshi also hosted a dinner for Sona which was attended by Honorary Counsel of Auckland and others.
“It was matter of pride to see our Indians making presence across the world in politics,” said Sona while thanking Bakshi for the dinner and for his enlightening and educative discussions.
