Arunachal Pradesh’s Director General of Police (DGP), RP Upadhyaya, on Wednesday flagged off a 3-day-long motorcycle rally.
The theme of the motorcycle rally is – ‘Ride for Unity’.

The motorcycle rally has been organized in the run-up to Arunachal Pradesh Police Raising Day scheduled to be held on November 8 by the West Kameng police.
The rally was flagged off at Sela Pass, a high-altitude mountain pass located on the border between Tawang and West Kameng districts.
It will culminate at Bhalukpong on November 1 after covering the entire length and breadth of West Kameng district.

Bhalukpung is a small town located along the southern reaches of the Himalayas in West Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh.
The town, located at 213m above sea level, is 52 km from Tezpur in Assam’s Sonitpur district.
In all, 15 police personnel including a lady officer, led by West Kameng superintendent of police Raja Banthia and a few other locals of the district have participated in the rally.
The rally will halt at Kalaktang on Friday.
During their halt, the police personnel will participate in a community programme and also play a volleyball match with the Kalaktang Youth Organization.
A visit to one of the local schools and interaction with students has also been planned.
The final day of the rally will also witness an interaction programme between the police and public.
