To motivate meritorious students of Pasighat-West constituency, local MLA Ninong Ering gave cash award of Rs 10,000 to all who qualified Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (Preliminary) Examination-2020.

Ering said his effort is to help the APPSC aspirants in purchasing books and other materials for better preparation. The awards were handed over on Wednesday at Ruksin.

He hoped that a sizable number of candidates from his constituency would qualify in various officer categories and serve the state’s people in a better way.

Ering said that he would be ready to donate Rs 25,000 to each of those pass the APPSC Main Examination from this year.

Earlier, the MLA had announced to sponsor meritorious students from his constituency for appearing in various qualifying examinations.

He had promised to support students from financially weaker sections for other competitive exams including that of IITs, IIMs, other top engineering colleges and Medical.

Ering also took the responsibility to fund five graduates to undergo coaching to appear UPSC Civil Services Examination.

Moreover, he will sponsor coaching for at least 10 under-graduate students to avail crash course to compete in medical, IIT and other engineering examinations every year.

According to Ering, he has earmarked an amount to Rs 12 lakh per annum for the initiative.

Welcoming the meritorious students and their parents in the function, Ruksin ADC Tajing Jonnom said local MLA’s innovative idea will undoubtedly fuel mental strength of the APPSC aspirants.

Tajing Jonnom said the candidates should try their level best to achieve better results in the main examination.

Altogether 40 candidates from Ruksin, Bilat and Sille-Oyan circles have received the cash award from MLA Ering today.
