PLA abducts five Indians from Arunachal Pradesh, claims Congress MLA Ninong Ering

Congress MLA from Arunachal Pradesh Ninong Ering has claimed that five people have been abducted by China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA).

The claim comes at amid escalating border tension between India and China in eastern Ladakh.

In a tweet, the Congress MLA wrote, “SHOCKING NEWS: Five people from Upper Subansiri district of our state Arunachal Pradesh have reportedly been ‘abducted’ by China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA).”

“A few months earlier, a similar incident happened. A befitting reply must be given to #PLA and #CCPChina,” he further tweeted.

The five people have been identified as Tanu Bakar, Prasat Ringling, Ngaru Diri, Dongtu Ebiya, and Toch Singkam.

They have reportedly been abducted from Sera 7 area under Upper Subansiri district along the India-China border in Arunachal Pradesh.

“The Chinese have again started creating a nuisance. Just like in Ladakh and Doklam, they [Chinese Army] have started incursions in Arunachal Pradesh,” Ering said while speaking to India Today.

” It is proved that they have entered our [side of] LAC,” he said, claiming it was the second time that the Chinese Army has abducted people from India,” he further added.

It may be mentioned here that on Saturday, the Congress lawmaker tweeted to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Pema Khandu, raising alarm about Chinese incursions into Arunachal Pradesh.

Ering also attached a screenshot of a Facebook post by one Prakash Ringling who claimed that his brother was one of the five people who were abducted from by the Chinese Army.
