Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister, Pema Khandu launched the sanctioning of LED Solar Street Lighting System under RIDF by NABARD with total grant of Rs 87,83,059.

The launch happened at the meeting with NABARD Chairman Harsh Kumar Bhanwala who called on the Chief Minister on Friday.

The project will first be launched in these districts Tirap, Longding, Namsai and Tawang.

The NABARD manager later briefed Khandu about the dedicated “Micro Irrigation Fund” (MIF) with NABARD under Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana (PMKSY), which was passed by the Union Cabinet recently with corpus of Rs 5,000 crore.

The chief minister was also briefed on ‘Dairy Processing & Infrastructure Development Fund’ and urged the state government to avail it . The scheme focuses on building an efficient milk procurement system.

The NABARD manager also urged the CM to conduct financial literacy awareness programme in schools for which NABARD will cover expenses.

Khandu was also informed about EShakti, by NABARD which aims at digitization of all the SHG accounts to bring SHG members under financial inclusion.
