Tawang deputy commissioner Sang Phuntsok on Wednesday launched an app that would be used for online registration of persons entering the district after lockdown is lifted.

An official communiqué informed that the app, developed by the district administration here, would help officials at entry gates fill up the details of the persons entering the district and the same will be directly fed to server installed in district headquarters.

Through this the officials at the headquarters would have direct information about the people entering Tawang, the communiqué said.

Besides minimizing the manpower required for collecting information, the app will also help the officials at the district emergency operation centre administration check details of people entering the district on a real-time basis.

Accordingly, the district administration is now planning to share this app with those officials engaged at the check gate in Jang.

The application will also enable the officials posted at other administrative centres and sub-divisions of the district to share their information directly to district headquarters.

Additional deputy commissioner Lobsang Tsering, district disaster management officer Tsangpa Tashi and other officers of the district administration were also present during the launch event, the communiqué added.
