The Capital Complex district administration in Arunachal Pradesh which continued with its eviction drive of stray animals from Naharlagun to Nirjuli on Thursday evicted a total of 17 animals on the day.
The drive on Thursday was led by Naharlagun Circle Officer Neelam Teji, senior veterinary officer of IMC, Dr G Piel and veterinary officer (Forest) Dr Sorang Tadap.

Capital Complex Deputy Commissioner, Prince Dhawan, who once again informed that the administration would continue with the drive, has requested the denizens to cooperate with the administration and to refrain from letting their animals out in the open which results in various nuisance like traffic problems, unhygienic atmosphere, etc.
Earlier, the Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Magistrate had also issued an order wherein he had directed all concerned to confine their domestic animals at their rearing places by September 27.
Combining all the earlier drives, the administration has evicted a total of around 60 animals till date.
