Satai Kri, the advisor to Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on his day-long official visit to Bordumsa-Diyun constituency in Changlang district reviewed the overall developmental works in the constituency while interacting with the local leaders, gaon burhas and saffron party workers here on Thursday afternoon at Bordumsa circuit house.
Earlier in the morning, Kri participated in a brief cleanliness drive in Bordumsa township along with the people from different fronts. After visiting the Bordumsa Primary Health Centre, Kri instructed immediately to get rid of the heaps of wastes and garbage causing nuisance in the hospital premises.

The public leaders, gaon burhas, religious leaders and representatives of mahila mandal, office-bearers of the Singpho youth organization, workers and office-bearers of various wings of the BJP participated in an open interaction wherein all vital issues, developmental works and grievances of the people of Bordumsa were discussed at length.
However, Kri, who was ironically deprived of any formal reception the previous day on his arrival to Bordumsa, also expressed dissatisfaction over the thin attendance of governmental officials of various departments.
The need of infrastructural development in Bordumsa Higher Secondary School was raised by Pisilu Singpho, the president of Bordumsa Mahila Mandal while Mayong Maio, state secretary of BJP, raised the Assam-Arunachal border issue calling the attention of the Government to immediately resolve the boundary issue and stated that if the Government fails to solve it the immigrants’ influx from Assam after publication of the complete NRC might pose danger to the culture and ethnicity of the people of the protected State.
“The 2 km-long dilapidated and worst condition of Bordumsa village road has made the lives of the people miserable and the agricultural works have been affected in the area due to lack of proper drainage system resulting in extensive accumulation of rain water,” said Sikhetang Singpho, the head gaon buraha of Bordumsa Circle, adding, “Proposals were submitted earlier but nothing has been done.”
Inthem Nongja, the mandal president of Bordumsa -Diyun Yuba Morcha lamented that due to lack of proper rural link roads in various remote pockets of Bordumsa and paucity of effective drainage system in the township have
been long standing issues in the area.
The other issues like drug menace and overall development of the place and meaningful implementation of the Government schemes for socio-economic development of the people were also discussed.
Meanwhile, Kri, responding immediately at the grievances of the people, termed the problems of Bordumsa as “simple issues within the reach which could be resolved in no time”. He added, “The people should approach the departments concerned seeking solution to their problems and rest I will look into from the State capital in consultation with Chief Minister Pema Khandu.”
He also said, “‘I am satisfied and grateful to the people of Diyun for rendering a collective response and love that they extended during my visit this afternoon.”
In a separate meeting held at the ADC office, Kri expressed dissatisfaction over the indifferent attitude of the
Governmental officials and heads of departments who did not attend the meeting despite wide official circulation a day before his visit and instructed the police and civil administration to act promptly against the menace of
drugs in the area.
