While visiting the sites at APP Colony, Lower Baskota areas, Advance Landing Ground southern side, Jarku, Assa Lab areas and GTC near playground, Moyong said that, a proper drainage mechanism will be required to tackle with such huge blockade of rainwater during monsoon.

He directed and appealed the engineers accompanying him to prepare a draft proposal for construction of Storm Water Drainage systems as normal drainage is a failure in locations like Pasighat where inflow and outlet drains are almost same making flow of stagnant rain water not effective.

While visiting the sites at Model Baptist Church location near ALG where passage of the Pane Korong (stream) channel are narrowed down by residential building constructions and encroachments, Moyong suggested the concerned department to initiate measures to widen the stream passage/channel.

“I will request the deputy commissioner of Pasighat to take appropriate action on it as she has already initiated similar step in clearing blockade in the downstream sites by engaging men and machines being supervised by magistrates and engineers from PMC,” added Moyong.

He also appealed the general public to cooperate with the government in solving the rainwater stagnation and its related problems for the larger interest of the public and beautification of Pasighat township.
