Arunachal Pradesh Minister for Animal Husbandry, Veterinary and Dairy Development, Dr Mohesh Chai on Tuesday made a surprise visit to the Disease Investigation Laboratory (DIL) at Nirjuli near Itanagar to assess the facilities being provided to the livestock by the establishment.
Chai, during his visit, was glad to find out that the doctors of the facility working with dedication for the benefit of the livestock despite several difficulties.

The minister on the day also visited the under-construction farmers’ hostel, Government poultry farm and the drug store, during which he was discontented to find out that the bio-security of poultry farm was being compromised by around 15 labourers as they were without any authorization living at the site.
It was brought to the notice of the minister that the contractor concerned of the Government poultry farm was using the building to keep his labourers and he had also obtained electricity illegally for the labourers for their use.
Taking stern action, Dr Chai asked the labourers to immediately vacate the building and to clean the area before doing so.

Minister Chai also instructed the department officers to file a report on the matter.
