Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu has urged Union Minister for Railways Piyush Goyal and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to immediately conduct an inquiry into the death of Arunachalee youth, Tage Dule.
Khandu while giving details of the gruesome incident said that the youth, who hails from the picturesque Ziro Valley in Lower Subansiri district of Arunachal Pradesh, was thrown out of the train by miscreants in Gonda district of Uttar Pradesh and later succumbed to his injuries at the Shyama Prasad Civil Hospital, Lucknow on August 6.

Appealing Goyal and Adityanath to personally intervene in the matter so that justice is delivered to the victim and the culprits are arrested and awarded exemplary punishment, Khandu in separate letters written to the duo on Friday said, “I am given to understand that in his dying statement given to the UP Police from the hospital bed, he disclosed the atrocities inflicted upon him by unknown miscreants in the train and was finally pushed out of the train. I am also given to understand that there were burn injuries on his body, which indicates foul play by the miscreants before pushing him out of the train.”
Terming the incident as barbaric and heartbreaking, Khandu sought immediate probe into the incident and stringent action as per law.
“For delivering justice and peace to the departed soul, bereaved family members and the people of Arunachal Pradesh, I request you to kindly expedite action for thorough investigation and early arrest of the culprits and give exemplary punishment to avoid recurrence of such horrific incident in future,” the Chief Minister added.
