“Our classes would begin from November 1, and we would conduct a screening of the candidates on October 20. Till date, nine aspiring candidates for ACS have already taken their admission,” Shahnewaj Khan, head of the Silchar centre said.

“For the preliminaries, classes would run for six months and five classes would be held per week,” Khan said.

“Keeping the word of chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal, who wants ACS exams in tune with IAS exams held by UPSC from 2020, we too would incorporate similar structure in our curriculum for each aspiring candidate to sit not just for ACS exams but  for IAS exams as well,” said Khan.

Maria Tanim, 2016 batch ACS topper, speaking to Northeast Now said, “There is no dearth of talents in Barak valley to crack ACS or even IAS exams, but they lack the knowledge about whom to approach and how to  prepare for it.”
