Kohima’s Office of the Director of Postal Services has informed the general public that Aadhaar enrollment and updating facility has started.

The places where the enrollment and updating facility has started are Kohima Head Post Office, Mon Post Office, Tuensang Post Office, and Zunheboto Post Office.

Enrollment is to be carried out through documents based verification for indigenous inhabitants of the State only, with exemptions to government employees, stated a press release from RM Patel, Director Postal Services, Nagaland Division.

The verification will be based on any of the following documents: Permanent Residential Certificate (to be supported by documentary evidence), Scheduled Tribe Certificate (to be supported by documentary evidence), and Indigenous Certificate, it added.
