As Guwahati is getting ready to host an One Day International (ODI) between India and West Indies on October 21, 2018 , an 8-member team of West Indies cricket team arrived in the city on Monday.
The first ODI of the five-match series will be played at the Assam Cricket Association’s Stadium at Barsapara.
According to media reports, the other members of the West Indies team will arrive on October 17 while the Indian cricket team will reportedly arrive on October 19.

The tour includes two tests, five one-day internationals and three T20 internationals, and will continue till November 11.
Indian team swept the Test series 2-0 against West Indies, winning the second and final match by 10 wickets in Hyderabad on Sunday. For Team India, it was their 10th series win at home since their last defeat against England in the year 2012.
The first five-match ODI series beginning on October 21 in Guwahati will be followed by the second ODI on October 24 in Indore and the third ODI in Pune on October 27.
The final two ODIs will be held in Mumbai and Thiruvananthapuram on October 29 and November 1 respectively.
The one-dayers will be followed by the three T20 internationals to be held in Kolkata on November 4, in Lucknow on November 6 and in Chennai on November 11.
