It may be mentioned that Namrup Town Club and Barekuri Football Academy on March 14, 2018 registered victory in their respective matches of the 2nd Oil-DFA Invitational Inter-Academy Greater Dibrugarh-Tinsukia District U-16 Football Tournament at Nehru Maidan in Duliajan.
In the first match, Namrup Town Club defeated Tinsukia Football Academy by 1-0 goals.
Namrup Town Club’s midfielder Rupam netted the goal in 17th minutes of the match.
After the end of the match, Madhurjya Gogoi of Namrup Town Club was adjudged as the ‘man of the match’.
In the second match of the tournament played between Barekuri Football Academy (BFA) and Tea Sports Academy Rajah Ali (TSARA), BFA beat TSARA by 4-2 goals via tie-breaker.
The regulation time ended in a goalless draw.
