The 26th foundation day celebration of the All Bathou Mahasabha will begin from 15 May at Bodofa cultural complex Chandmari in Kokrajhar.
The reception committee has been busy with preparation for the two day long colourful programme where more than four thousand devotees will be coming to celebrate.
Speaking to reporters, Lwmsrao Daimary Convenor of the Bathou Mahasabha said that they have been preparing to celebrate the 26th foundation day of the all Bathou Mahasabha at Kokrajhar town of BTC and preparation are underway to make it a successful one.
He said that more than four thousand devotees will throng the place from abroad as well as from various places of India. People from Bangladesh, Nepal, West Bengal, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh are due to celebrate of the 26th foundation day of the All Bathou Mahasabha.
Daimary also said that the BTC Chief Hagrama Mohilary will be the Chief Guest on Wednesday and other distinguished guests are Biswajit Daimary MP, Assam Ministers Pramila Rani Brahma, Chandan Brahma will be attending.
Dr.Mongalsing Hazwary advisor of the Bathou Mahasabha said that the Assam Government and BTC government has considered Bathou religion and Bathou San as a state holiday recently so they will submit a memorandum to BTC Chief Hagrama Mohilary for pressurizing central government to consider declaring it a national holiday of the Bathou religion.
He also urged all sections of the community to cooperate and join in the celebration.
