Manipur continues to organise ‘Go to Village (GTV)’ Mission in an attempt to identify and reach out to the deserving beneficiaries living in the villages through the government schemes.

The mission was launched by the state chief minister N Biren Singh throughout the state covering 60 villages under 60 assembly constituencies during a launching function at Laphupat tera in Imphal west district in May 2018.The mission has so far covered nearly 2000 villages in the state.

On Tuesday, the District Administration of Bishnupur organised GTV  Mission at Chingmei Awang Community Hall for Ward No. 5-10 under Moirang Khunou GP of Thanga constituency. With the coverage of these villages, the District Administration has completed covering all the villages in the district under the Mission, according to official sources.

The line departments distributed free gas cylinders under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala scheme.

Yojana(PMUY), weaver cards, sprayers, Chief Minister Gi Hakshel Tenbang (CMHT) Cards,free electricity connection under Saubhagya (BPL kit), various certificates and other government schemes to the beneficiaries in the camp.

Terming the mission a grand success, Deputy Commissioner  Pawan Yadav of the district expressed his profound gratitude to all the participants and staffs for their untiring and selfless efforts and to the public for the enormous support and their participation in conducting these camps since launched of the programme.

Similarly, the GTV missions camps were held at five different locations for Churachandpur District on Tuesday, another source claimed. Camp held at Teiseng Community Hall for Tuibong TD Block covered 36 Villages.
