Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her Indian counterpart Narendra Modi discussed a range of bilateral issues including Teesta water-sharing, cross-border terrorism and the migration of Rohingya Muslims from Myanmar to Bangladesh besides security and politics at Santiniketan on Friday.

The half-an-hour meeting was held at the newly-inaugurated Bangladesh Bhavan in Visva Bharati University.
Sheikh Hasina and her entourage landed at Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International (NSCBI) Airport by a Biman Bangladesh Airlines to attend the convocation programme at Visva Bharati.
Modi and Hasina inaugurated Bangladesh Bhavan, a centre dedicated to the cultural cooperation between the India and Bangladesh, in the university campus.

In her speech Hasina highlighted the Rohingya repatriation issue.
“Rohingyas have taken shelter in Bangladesh. We’ve given them a place on humanitarian grounds. We want them to return to their country as early as possible. I request you to help us to interact with Myanmar so that they take Rohingyas back,” she said.
Visva Bharati has allocated 11,112 square meter land adjacent to the Indira Gandhi Centre at Santiniketan for the construction of Bangladesh Bhavan. Bangladesh Government is funding the construction of Bhavan.
Around 10,000 post-graduate and 1,000 PhD students of the University received their certificates on Friday.
