Three Chinese nationals were recently apprehended at New Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport and an amount of Rs 39 lakh has been seized from their possession.
As per reports, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) on Saturday arrested the trio after detecting a large amount of cash in their handbags in the check-in areas of the airport.

The accused have been identified as Fun Qingliang, Guan Jianhang and He Wang.
The CISF personnel recovered currency notes of 20000 USDs each from two handbags and another 15000 USD from the handbag of the third accused.
They were arrested after the CISF team asked them about the foreign currency to which they couldn’t give satisfactory answers.

The accused were later handed to a Customs Department team after a preliminary inquiry.
It may be mentioned that CISF personnel had also arrested two Chinese nationals- Yin Gaoyang and Fangao Jhao- at IGI Airport with possession of 80 smartphones on Friday.
The smartphones were of Vivo and Honor brands.
The duo were handed over to Custom department authorities for further investigation as they had not been able to show documents for carrying such a huge number of phones.
