โ€œHis interventions in the Rajya Sabha reflected a deep understanding of the legislative process and a strong sense of public interest,โ€ the Chairman said while addressing the House.

He added that the Upper House would miss Gogoiโ€™s thoughtful counsel, measured interventions and the sense of gravitas he brought to debates and discussions.

On behalf of the members, Radhakrishnan extended his best wishes to Gogoi for the future.

โ€œI hope he will continue to contribute to the nation in different capacities with the same dedication, integrity and spirit of service that he has demonstrated throughout his distinguished career,โ€ he said.
