Guwahati: A private aircraft crashed into a hillside in Chhattisgarh’s Jashpur district on Monday, with authorities fearing casualties, according to initial reports.
The aircraft, believed to be a Cessna Caravan, went down in the Jashpur-Narayanpur region. Visuals from the site showed thick plumes of smoke and flames rising from the wreckage.
Officials said it was not immediately clear how many people were on board the aircraft at the time of the incident.
