Guwahati: Initial trends indicate that the BJP is leading in the Arunachal Pradesh Assembly election results. Meanwhile, in Sikkim, the SKM is set to retain power.
Data from the Election Commission reveals that the BJP has clinched victory in 10 seats in Arunachal Pradesh uncontested and is ahead in more than 25 seats, including prominent constituencies like Lumla, Kalaktang, Koloriang, Nacho, Likabali, Basar, Along (West), and Along (East). The SKM is leading in 29 out of 30 seats in Sikkim.
The polling for Arunachal Pradesh’s 60 assembly seats took place on April 19, coinciding with the first phase of the Lok Sabha elections. With the BJP already securing 10 uncontested seats, Chief Minister Pema Khandu and Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein have secured their respective positions.
As the counting progresses, all eyes are on the final results in both states, with Arunachal Pradesh witnessing BJP’s stronghold and Sikkim anticipating SKM’s continued governance.
