Eminent poet and literary critic late Dutta was the prime editor of the book through the course of its developmental years. But following his sudden demise, budding writer and translator Stuti Goswami carried forward the task of editing the book till its completion.

A project originally initiated by the Munin Barkotoki Memorial Trust almost two decades ago is what the book is based on.

It covers almost all prominent individuals who trudged every challenging path and left no stone upturned in their endeavor to ensure the uncompromised growth and development of Assam and bring the state to the forefront.
