Arunodoi Academy, a private school initiated a one hour long Yoga awareness camp for its students at Tangla in Udalguri on Saturday.

This is in tune with Ministry of AYUSH’s initiative to popularize Yoga among the countrymen.

The school took pride in celebrate the rich Indian heritage through meditation and by performing various asanas during this camp.

The various asanas performed were tadasana, katichakrasana, trikonasana, bhujangasana, shashankasana, surya namaskar, yoga nidra, pranayama and anulom vilom, said Principal of Arunodoi Academy, Napolean Daimari

“It is a holistic approach taken towards imbibing the essence of yoga among students.”, he added.

The camp organized under the aegis of ROSS NGO was attended as resource persons by Priyanka Boro and Bhrigu Baruah.

Emphasizing on the regular usage of Yoga practice in our daily life the instructors said, “Yoga is essential to bring back the harmony between man and nature. It is the best way to stay healthy, combat diseases and beat stress.”
